Beware Halloween in Holland. Beware the living dead windmills. With thousand of windmills all over the country we don’t stand a chance. Run for the hills. Happy Halloween from Accidentally Dutch.

Stuart is an accident prone Englishman who has been living in the Netherlands since 2001. Even his move to the country was an unintentional accident, the result of replying to a cryptic job advertisement he found one day in a local British magazine. Since then he has learned to love the Dutch (so much so that he married one of them) and now calls the country home. He started the blog Invading Holland in 2006 as a place to share his strange stories of language misunderstandings, cultural confusions and his own accident prone nature.
And a Happy Halloween to you as well, Stu.
Hills? What hills? Ahh, run for the bridges.
French Bean – Thank you. Is Halloween big in France?
Peter – I was wondering if anyone would spot the hole in my plan.
A pretty big one I might add. I suggest we go underground. Digging holes is easier, also from all that dirt you might actually get hills… :D
Happy Halloween to you as well! Will you be dressing up as a windmill to try and thwart their plans? :)
Stu: Ha, ha, ha. In a word…no.
I only had one group of kids approach my house asking for treats yesterday. (I’m writing a post about the subject, actually.)
Also: headng for the hills in Holland is just as effective as heading for the hills in Florida…>.>
Anneke – That is a very good point. We have to be careful where we dig though otherwise we might hit water and flood the whole country.
Heather – I should have but I just hid instead.
French Bean – You had more kids than us :)
I discovered your blog today and have LOLed at quite a lot of your posts! This one reminded me of a comic http://xkcd.com/556/ :)
RB – Hehe. That’s a good one.
