Alex de Leeuw: Day Two in Amsterdam

Alex de Leeuw
Vandaag regent het, dus ik blijf thuis. Maar Stuart moet gaan werken.
Today it was raining so I stay at home but Stuart had to go to work.

Ik heb een nieuw vriendje. Hij heet Mr Koala. Hij is een vriendje van Stuart
I made a new friend. His name is Mr Koala. He is a friend of Stuart’s.

Alex de Leeuw 2
Wij schaken.
We played chess.

Alex de Leeuw 3
…en wij computeren.
…and we played computer games.

Alex de Leeuw 4
Toen kwam Stuart thuis, dus kookte ik voor iedereen…
Then Stuart came home so I cooked for everyone…

…en wij kijken de film Finding Nemo.
…and we watch the movie Finding Nemo.

Alex de Leeuw 6
Dan wij gaan slapen na een leuke dag.
Then we went to sleep after a fun day.

Stuart is an accident prone Englishman who has been living in the Netherlands since 2001. Even his move to the country was an unintentional accident, the result of replying to a cryptic job advertisement he found one day in a local British magazine. Since then he has learned to love the Dutch (so much so that he married one of them) and now calls the country home.     I used to read this blog quite a lot back in the day, and just found myself in Amsterdam!

    I was thinking of popping by your improv night with my fiancee, is it the one at the comedy cafe at Max Euwaplein 43-45?
